Why I Disagree With The Original Character Description (ReadMe.txt)

The original readme describes Sonic as a "jack of all trades" character with no major weaknesses. After spending several days analyzing and rebalancing him, I don't believe this description is accurate.

First, Sonic is not a jack-of-all-trades character. Most of his design is focused around mobility and aggression. His strongest traits are speed and movement, while several fundamental fighting-game tools are either missing or poorly implemented.

Some examples:

* His Air Dash was nearly useless before being reworked. Despite Sonic being a speed-based character, one of his primary mobility tools barely had practical applications.
* His parry was broken. Due to coding issues, successful parries often failed to provide meaningful punish opportunities.
* He lacked reliable reversals, making defensive situations much harder than intended.
* His anti-air options were weak and inconsistent, causing him to struggle heavily against jump-ins and rushdown characters.
* His fastest normals started at 5 frames, which feels unusually slow for a character whose identity is based on speed.

At the same time, several other tools were excessively powerful:

* Ring Throw was extremely problematic. It was fast, difficult to interact with, highly spammable, and had very little risk attached to it.
* Tails Tornado functioned as both an anti-zoning tool and an anti-poking tool while granting Sonic significant protection.
* Certain attacks and supers dealt disproportionately high damage, allowing Sonic to convert resources into massive reward.

As a result, the character felt less like a balanced all-rounder and more like a collection of underpowered and overpowered mechanics existing together.

The biggest issue was not that Sonic was weak or strong overall. The issue was inconsistency. Some parts of the character barely functioned, while other parts completely dominated matches.

The goal of this rebalance was not to make Sonic stronger. The goal was to make him actually play like Sonic: fast, aggressive, mobile, and capable of applying pressure without relying on broken mechanics.
